Have a Bite.We have our own cafeteria with a menu that changes daily. The cafeteria is open from 6am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, and offers a variety of hot meals, a full salad bar, sandwiches and sundry items, and daily specials. With the number of restaurants in the area, there are a variety of other places to enjoy a meal from fast food to specialty and sit-down restaurants. Microwaves and refrigerators are provided if employees choose to bring their lunches, and there is ample seating both inside and outside our facility, where you can enjoy your own home-cooked meal.
Take a Break.Studies show that a few minutes of exercise can really boost your mood. Take advantage of our office gym for an energizing way to perk up your day. Or, take a few moments in a designated quiet space to recharge and get back in the zone. Because our facility is open 24/7, so is our gym! Free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are always available for a quick pick-me-up.
Develop Healthy Habits. In addition to our gym and the healthy choices offered in our cafeteria, we provide a number of opportunities for employees to gain insight into their health, from stress management sessions to free flu shots to periodic visits by our benefits carriers. There are several trails and a wildlife preserve behind our building, so walkers, runners, and strollers can enjoy the diverse landscape and see the wildlife in the surrounding area.
We’re Winning Big! Our dedicated San Diego employees are getting major recognition with our Appreciation Program. Appreciation rewards go to representatives every quarter for their great work and for the meaningful positive interactions they create that shape the customer experience. We also recognize agents with a special luncheon and recognition event every quarter. We celebrate all birthdays and work anniversaries, and provide lunch on all the major holidays. Our annual "Spectrum’s Got Talent" event is the highlight of Customer Service Week, along with a diverse selection of activities, exotic foods, and games. Caring for Our Community.Our team loves supporting the local community. We sponsor a variety of humanitarian efforts, like fundraisers, food drives, school supplies drives, Toy-4-Tots, blood drives, and volunteer opportunities through our Spectrum Housing Assist program. San Diego is a military town, so we are always involved in events for veterans like Wounded Warriors or Military Spouses Job fairs. In San Diego, Spectrum has provided support for local organizations that include the NAACP Blue & Goal Awards, the Equality California Awards, and the Asian Business Associates Annual Scholarship Gala.
