What you can expect in this role 
As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 28, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.

Internship responsibilities may include:

  • Core duties in Certificate Lifecycle Management include generating and providing basic installation assistance to certificate owners, monitoring their expiration, and managing timely renewals and revocations.
  • It also involves maintaining accurate records through alerting and notifications within the Charter’s business units, ensuring security best practices, and troubleshooting certificate-related issues.
  • Essential knowledge includes understanding Cryptography, PKI, Certificate Types, and networking tools used in certificate management.

Here’s what it takes to get started 

Required qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited College or University graduating with a bachelor’s degree between December 2025 - May 2026
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for Charter Sponsorship 

Preferred qualifications

  • Basics with Microsoft 365 (Outlook/Excel)
  • PowerShell and/or Python Scripting
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Oral and written skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Proficient in Software including Adobe, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
