Our Customer Operations Learning and Development team is responsible for developing learning content to support our frontline Customer Service employees. They use training and best in class learning technology to prepare our frontline employees to provide the high-quality customer support Spectrum is known for.
BE PART OF THE CONNECTION
As an Instructional Designer with the L&D team, you’ll use your knowledge to design, develop, and maintain programs used to train employees who serve our customers. Leveraging learning technology, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your own skillsets while supporting your business partners.
WHAT OUR INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNERS ENJOY MOST
Collaborating with leadership team and subject matter experts to design engaging learning that enhances business performance
Partnering with the business to create clear learning objectives in support of business goals
Conducting reviews of training materials to meet learning objectives
Providing enhancements and revisions to existing materials using stakeholder feedback
Collaborating with staff, managers, and directors to create quality training deliverables
Maintaining status of projects, milestones, and tasks in the team project tracking tool
Facilitating in-person and virtual training sessions
On a typical day you’ll collaborate with the L&D team in a dynamic office environment. You’ll conduct need assessments, select instructional models, and design content. You’ll thrive in this role if you can both curate content and teach others how to use it effectively.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Adult Learning or equivalent experience
Experience: Instructional design & development or equivalent experience: 2 years or more
Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
Abilities: Leverage foundational digital learning tools, delivery methods, and platforms with minimal direction; Leverage standard templates across design tools, delivery methods, and platforms; prioritize and organize effectively; Clearly communicate orally and in writing
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Certificate in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or related field preferred
