Sr CAFM System Specialist

As a Sr. CAFM Specialist you will engage in updating and maintaining Corporate Services CAFM System that captures and ensures the integrity of CAD and CAFM data is up to date and accurate at all times. This team helps multiple business partners ensure they are fully utilizing our real estate assets by planning, executing, and monitoring all activities involved in space and move management. This is a great opportunity to leverage your knowledge in AutoCAD and data management in supporting Charter workspaces. To succeed in this role, you should have knowledge in AutoCAD, an eagerness to learn and teach others and be able to collaborate effectively to improve processes and procedures.
The Senior Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) System Specialist provides services related to the maintenance and upkeep of the computer aided facilities management system, drawings and related facilities and people data. In addition, this position provides support to various departments within the Charter real estate portfolio by assisting with inquiries related to system standards, researching information, and coordination of updates within the CAFM system.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Take Architectural drawings and create CADs for FMS by establishing polylines, setting up naming conventions for floors and space, create layers and then attach floor plans to the CAFM system.
• Provide guidance and assistance to other Business Unit facilities personnel for space utilization tracking and reporting.
• Research and trouble shoot problems for implementation of new system and changes to current systems.
• Develop and provide training to various levels of Management on the current CAFM system and defines future reporting needs for these individuals.
• Ensure accuracy of database information and confirm that it is in compliance with Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) standards.
• Provide ongoing support to departments and staff on planning and use of the CAFM system.
• Perform ongoing audits of the CAFM system to verify data standards are applied and kept up to date throughout the Charter real estate portfolio.
• Provide ongoing assistance during system updates, data loads, move projects, and provides research for data issues.
• Act as liaison with local site contacts to request, collect and process CAFM system information.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Advanced knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD software
• Ability to read building floor plans; life & safety, and furniture
• Ability to easily visualize and sketch a Floor Plan during Audits
• Ability to work independently of supervision and with quick response time, even with multiple requests
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with heavy workloads
• Attention to small details to maintain space standards, accurate database information
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products; specifically, Word, Outlook, Project, Access and Excel
• Organized and self-motivated
• Knowledge of relational database software
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
• Combination of related work experience and/or training - 3+
• Experience with AutoCAD software
