How You’ll Make an Impact
Lead the design, development, and implementation of Spectrum’s information technology systems to ensure efficiency and reliability
Consult with project stakeholders to resolve operational challenges and optimize system performance
Research, recommend, and implement strategic direction for Operational Management Systems and technical solutions
Coordinate routine operating system and application maintenance, including backup and recovery processes for applications and databases
Develop and execute business continuity plans, monitoring system utilization for effective capacity planning
Provide expert guidance and technical support, including software upgrades and troubleshooting for applications and systems
Design disaster recovery plans and oversee configuration, tuning, and maintenance of databases

Required Qualifications
Education
BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent work experience
Experience
10+ years designing or configuring systems and/or applications
10+ years Relational Database Design and Maintenance
6+ years working in Telecommunications industry
Technology agnostic and experience working with multiple technology stacks
Skills
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner, perform duties in a very fast pace environment and learn new technology quickly
Ability to demonstrate lateral thinking required to solve complex technical problems, collaborate well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources and build consensus across interdisciplinary environments (across technical teams, across client domains)
Has experience working with others on a global basis
Applies knowledge to coach and mentor others
Extensive knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols and network topology, TCP/IP and the OSI Model Extensive knowledge of network devices and basic network appliances, network designing software, such as Visio and at least two application server platforms (WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, JBOSS, etc.) and at least three development languages (Java, C/C++, ObjectiveC, Perl, Python, ASP/.Net, etc.)
Extensive knowledge of at least three development or test automation tools (ANT, Maven, Hudson/Jenkins, JUnit, JMeter, etc.), at least three development frameworks (Struts, Spring MVC, Spring Security, JQuery, AXIS 2.0, etc.)
