Looking for a chance to lead enterprise-wide programs and drive business transformation? As Director of Program Management at Spectrum, you’ll oversee critical initiatives, guiding teams to deliver results across multiple functions. Your leadership will shape project integration and ensure alignment with business goals, making a measurable impact on our organization’s success. 


How You’ll Make an Impact       

  • Direct a team responsible for delivery of programs and projects across specific functional areas, ensuring integration of projects and adjusting project scope, timing, and budgets as needed to meet business requirements 
  • Direct program direction, supporting business case and enterprise-wide high-level project and program plans 
  • Provide oversight and leadership to other Project Managers in project and resource planning, assigning projects, and providing support to direct report project managers. Responsible for performance review and monitoring continuous improvement plans 
  • Mentor program and project managers, portfolio managers, and project leaders in implementing project management processes and driving improvements 
  • Manage project staff results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; plan, monitor, and appraise job results 
  • Ensure the execution of established project management processes and methodologies to deliver project scope on time and within budget, meeting or exceeding quality standards and customer expectations 
  • Oversee plans and teamwork assignments, direct work efforts, review integrated project plans, escalate & communicate resource needs, ensure completion of quality reviews, and drive the resolution of issues as appropriate  
  • Work with senior leadership and Business Consultants to develop program direction and changes 
  • Deliver all projects contained in the project portfolio on time and within budget, meeting the strategic and business requirements while tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to Project Managers 
  • Partner with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities to achieve the goals of the enterprise 
  • Partner with senior level management with minimal direction 
  • Manage all aspects of the design, development and implementation of the program

Required Qualifications       


Education     

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical, or related field, or equivalent experience 

Experience      

  • 5+ years of management experience 
  • 8+ years of experience managing complex programs or projects 

Skills      

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner  
  • Demonstrated management skills leading teams of individual program and project managers  
  • Ability to build high performance teams and supervise and motivate others  
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively and show judgement and initiative to accomplish job duties 
  • Ability to define key performance indicators/metrics, effectively analyze and interpret data, and document, prepare, and deliver data-driven presentations  
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel and develop strong working relationships with peers and project members 
  • Ability to influence internal and external key stakeholders and build consensus  
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure  
  • Ability to provide leadership and direction to cross-functional and virtual teams with a mixture of direct and dotted-line reporting  
  • Ability to oversee and manage large, complex, diverse and strategic projects that impact the organization as a whole  
  • Ability in implementing program and project plans and monitor progress, resource usage and quality 
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to manage complex program and project budgets  
  • Demonstrated knowledge in conducting risk assessments and developing plans for eliminating or mitigating the risks identified 

Preferred Qualifications    


Education

  • Advanced management or technical degree  
  • Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum 

Experience

  • Certified Scrum Master certification
    SAFe Lean Portfolio Management or SAFe Agilist
  • Ability to create and implement portfolio governance frameworks
  • Ability to lead agile transformations
  • Proven experience running programs that support external developers and platform ecosystems.

The base pay for this position generally is between $124,000.00 and $220,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
