TITLE: Principal Software Engineer I LOCATION: Greenwood Village, CO
JOB SUMMARY:Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements and design technical specification and interface specification. Perform unit testing, integration testing and bugfixes/enhancements of Web Services and applications. Define best practices, naming conventions, package structuring, and error processing/notification process. Implement web service scrutiny for external intrusion. Maintain and monitor performance of web services. Study existing interfaces and implement new functionality. Coordinate and execute development tasks within a distributed resource environment. Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members to meet deliverables. Streamline processes by implementing best practices. Develop Java architecture and microservices using Springboot. Managing inventory using Granite, network discovery, or reconciliation across systems. Perform DevOps utilizing Ansible, Shell Scripting, CI/CD, or Jenkins. Process big data utilizing Hadoop, or Cloudera. Develop database integrations using JDBC, Object Relational Mapping (ORM), or Hibernate. Utilize monitoring and logging tools/technologies such as Splunk, Datadog, ELK, CA, or Dynatrace.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s Degree, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8 years of experience developing Java architecture and microservices using
Springboot. 5 years of experience managing inventory using Granite, network discovery, or reconciliation across systems; and performing DevOps utilizing Ansible, Shell Scripting, CI/CD, or Jenkins. 4 years of experience processing big data utilizing Hadoop, or Cloudera; developing database integrations using JDBC, Object Relational Mapping (ORM), or Hibernate; and utilizing Splunk, Datadog, ELK, CA, or Dynatrace tools for monitoring and logging.
A hybrid (in office and remote work) arrangement is available.
*This role requires 24/7 on-call rotation one week every two months to provide help desk support.
Salaries depend on geography, experience, and education; negotiations begin at $161,886 per year

The base pay for this position generally is between $161,886.00 and $196,400.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
