Looking to play a key role in delivering high-quality software applications? Join Spectrum as a QA Analyst, where you will develop and execute formal test plans, contribute to software process improvements and collaborate across teams to ensure robust project outcomes. Your expertise will help shape reliable systems that drive our business forward and enhance the customer experience.
This position is in an office environment with a hybrid work schedule. Eligible employees can work from home up to one day each week.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to deliver high quality of Spectrum software applications
- Define and monitor quality assurance metrics including defects, test results and test status
- Collect and analyze data to identify process improvements that support Spectrum business needs
- Document software issues and assist in their timely resolution
- Deliver quality process training to technical staff and serve as an internal consultant for quality standards
- Conduct quality audits across IT functions to ensure adherence to Spectrum’s quality standards, procedures and methodologies
- Collaborate effectively as a subject matter expert on project teams spanning multiple systems and environments
What You’ll Bring to Spectrum
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of system development, business or systems analysis, testing or business experience
Skills
- Proficient written and verbal communication in English
- Strong attention to deadlines and deliverables
- Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Exposure to test automation tools
- Analytical and problem-solving ability, including defect analysis and resolution
- Effective working with cross-functional teams, including onshore and offshore resources
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Professional, approachable demeanor with sound judgment and discretion
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated critical thinking
- Skilled at negotiating with stakeholders while maintaining a positive approach
- Understanding of quality assurance processes, tools and methodologies
- Familiarity with HP Test Suite or similar testing tools
- Understanding of database schemas and querying tools
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in API testing using Postman or Soap UI
- Knowledge of Amdocs Billing system
Education
- ISTQB Foundation Level Testing Certification
