JOB SUMMARY


This position is responsible for managing the Business Analysts or Manager in all activities related to evaluation of existing processes and provide recommendations and optimal solutions on processes improvements and best practices. This position requires expert level understanding of organization’s processes and practices and manages complex projects. This role can collaborate with one of several business process owners or lines of business. Analyzes business partners’ operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

Analyze, define, and develop complex organization's business process methods and practices

Provide strategic oversight and management to a team of Business Process Analysts and/or Process Managers

Collaborate with leadership on breakthrough strategies to improve process efficiencies and cost reduction opportunities

Assume Project Manager responsibilities for managing, planning, monitoring and reporting on key projects from conception through implementation. Communicate project status updates, roadblocks and any escalation needed with higher management. Recommend the best option by preparing data driven presentations with options and their pros/cons.

Manage efforts to enhance processes, reduce waste and increase effectiveness.  This includes the coordination of the respective administrative support teams including P2P, Contracts, Supplier Enablement to troubleshoot and resolve issues

Research best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data

Assess requirements for internal business processes, ensuring compatibility with organizational strategic goals

Implement new processes, evaluate existing processes, and recommend optimal solutions and improvements

Partner with business process owners and management on strategic initiatives with minimal guidance from more experienced analyst or department leadership

Facilitate communication and gain commitment between business units and stakeholders to align processes and solutions with business strategies

Use sophisticated quantitative analysis methodology to perform data, cost and benefit, and/or process measurement analysis

Research industry trends for application of process improvement techniques and best practices

Train employees on root cause analysis tools and philosophies


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Solid technology experience and the ability to recognize ad translate business problems into technology-based solutions
  • Ability to provide leadership and direction to cross-functional and virtual teams with a mixture of direct and dotted line reporting
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication, writing, facilitation, collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to address internal stakeholders in a professional manner
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent experience

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

  • Business/Systems Analysis- 7+
  • Project Management and leadership- 7+                                          
  • P2P Experience (Ariba/SAP platforms in an On-Demand environment preferred)- 7+
  • Experience working with a software development- 7+
  • lifecycle methodology
  • Analytics Tools -7+                   

Preferred Education

  • Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum
