Do you enjoy turning data into actionable insights that influence business decisions? Spectrum is seeking a Business Planning Analyst to support financial planning and analysis for operating expenses across multiple business areas. In this role, you’ll work closely with finance leadership and operational teams to help manage budgets, build financial models and deliver insights that drive performance and support strategic goals.

This position is in an office environment with a hybrid work schedule. Eligible employees can work from home up to one day each week.


HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Actively and consistently support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
  • Analyze operational spending trends and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and meet key performance indicators
  • Prepare recurring financial reports, perform monthly variance analysis to budget/forecast, and support leadership reviews
  • Build and maintain financial models to support forecasting and planning, and the annual budgeting process
  • Support annual budgeting process and ongoing operating expense forecasting and reforecasting
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand cost drivers and improve forecast accuracy
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve or streamline financial processes and reporting, and support ad hoc analysis as needed

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience

Experience

  • 2+ years of business planning, financial analysis or related experience

Skills

  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills
  • Prioritize and organize effectively while handling multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in analyzing and interpreting data
  • Quickly identify business challenges and opportunities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of management
  • Proficiency with software applications such as Word and Excel
  • Read, write, speak and understand English

Preferred Qualifications

Experience

  • 1–3 years in financial planning and analysis, financial analysis, consulting or a similar role
  • Supporting budgeting or forecasting processe

Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel including pivot tables and financial modeling with large datasets
  • Clearly communicate financial information to non-finance partners
  • Financial planning systems or data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
