TITLE: Director, Business Intelligence (Multiple Openings)
LOCATION: Stamford, CT
JOB SUMMARY: Provide strategic solutions for key products and program launches and business problems unique to Marketing Operations, and maintain Business Intelligence (BI) self-service reporting solutions for Customer Insights. Manage associated budgets and processes within BI function. Drive data vision, strategy, execution, as well as ensure that BI goals and technology investments are aligned with company mission, strategy, and objectives. Direct a dedicated team of data professionals that ideate and deliver data and analytics roadmap across the full lifecycle: collection, synthesis, insight, and application, with the goal of driving business success. Deliver strategic thought leadership outwards into the organization (both process and technology) with a particular focus on internal reporting and analysis solutions. Hire and train new employees, conduct performance reviews, and provide leadership and mentoring, as well as technical and personal development programs for team members. Oversee data management, data governance, and maintenance of BI best practices. Create processes and capabilities to feed actionable insights back into departments for continued learning, iteration, and action.
EDUCATION / REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field. 10 years of experience utilizing database technologies Teradata or AWS Redshift, reporting tools MicroStrategy or Tableau, and SQL for data analysis, as well as experience in data modeling, data architecture, and design of data pipelines in large-scale enterprise environments. 8 years of experience managing and supervising a team of at least 5 resources in a cross-functional/matrix environment for successful BI outcomes. 5 years of experience: leading and delivering complex technology engagements with resources in multiple locations; and in full life-cycle solution delivery for data engineering or product development. 3 years of experience identifying opportunities, assisting with return on investment (ROI), and business case development for applying data insights to support business objectives.
