Interested in learning how a news network runs from executive leadership to newsroom operations? This Executive Assistant role offers a unique opportunity to that experience from the inside out. At Spectrum News, you’ll work closely with senior leaders, support high-priority initiatives, and help keep fast-moving projects on track in a dynamic environment. For the right person, this role provides rare visibility into leadership, strategy, and the operations that keep a media organization moving forward.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Organize and maintain complex calendars to ensure optimal scheduling and prioritization
- Coordinate projects and assist with managing ongoing priorities across departments
- Support leadership by facilitating daily operations and preparing materials for meetings
- Monitor deadlines and follow up on action items to keep initiatives moving forward
- Provide proactive administrative support with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Engage with cross-functional teams to gather information and relay updates
- Contribute to a collaborative environment that encourages learning and professional development
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience
Experience
3+ years of executive administration experience
Skills
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Capacity to handle multiple projects and tasks efficiently
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of information
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills
- Clear and effective oral and written communication
- Sound judgment, initiative and ability to accomplish job duties independently
- Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of cable television products and services
- Familiarity with organization policies and practices
Working Conditions
Office environment with the ability to remain seated for extended periods
