JOB SUMMARY
The Direct Marketing Manager will lead a cross-functional team to manage national Direct Marketing campaign and test cycles from inception through post campaign analysis and summary report. Employing strong project management skills, this individual will drive units, profitable revenue and operating efficiencies through customer acquisition and migration for the bundle, cable, high speed Internet, phone and other services. The Direct Marketing Manager work closely with corporate marketing teams, customer care, field leaders and others to incorporate offer and target strategies and promote Direct Marketing throughout the organization.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Lead a cross-functional team to manage Direct Marketing campaign and test cycles for customer acquisition and migration from inception through post campaign analysis and summary report.
Develop, maintain and communicate DM campaign calendars and version matrices for all targets, products, offers and geographic areas; manage change control.
Partner with relevant business functions, the field and external vendors to determine targets and schedules; strategize and implement tests of audience, offer, creative formats and messaging; analyze campaign performance across key metrics and ensure flawless execution.
Track response and conversion to drive direct mail marketing efficiencies and effectiveness; accountable for marketing budget, ROI and cost per connect to drive profitable revenue and operating cash flow.
Manage contact strategy based on test results, consumer insights and cross-functional team input.
Establish a record of direct mail campaigns results, market insights, offer strategy and creative.
Proof read final copy to ensure accurate and correct communication; match creative, versions and other campaign elements.
Communicate with internal and external research groups, industry organizations and other sources of expertise related to Direct Marketing; promote and communicate the benefits of direct marketing throughout the organization.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Technical expertise in Direct Marketing, specifically direct mail, with a proven record of successful implementation
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at one time
Proven ability to manage Direct Marketing / Direct Mail / Database Marketing and Testing projects
Ability to work well with people from all levels of the organization, many different disciplines and varying degrees of technical and business experience
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to manage and foster change
Ability to conduct formal presentations to all levels of management on issues or findings in assigned areas or subjects
Ability to analyze and interpret data to make recommendations based on analysis and expertise
Strong attention to detail balanced with the ability to think strategically
Highly developed capacity for teamwork and a strong focus on the customer
Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; proficient in other desktop applications
Required Education
Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline and/or an equivalent experience

Direct marketing experience - 5-7
