The base pay for this position generally is between $50,400.00 and $80,600.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.

Are you looking to make a meaningful impact in government relations and public policy? Spectrum is seeking a Government Affairs Specialist to help support our efforts in achieving key franchising, legislative, and regulatory goals across state and local levels. If you are driven, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to complex governmental initiatives, this role offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals and advance your career.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Schedule, arrange travel, and manage expense reports for SVP and other executives; assist SVP with monthly team messages
- Coordinate vendor calls and payments, update organizational charts and Outlook distribution lists, maintain calendar, and compile call notes for regional meetings
- Assist in event organization, including logistics, budgeting, vendor coordination, and guest management
- Analyze, monitor, and track BEAD activity, political contributions, franchise renewals, 626 letters, and PEG requests; prepare monthly reports
- Conduct audits with Franchising Team, focusing on franchise renewals, fee audits, 626 windows, and PEG requests
- Research Data Management input related to franchise renewals, 626 windows, and community unit ID cleanup
- Support Senior Director in filing lobbying reports and assist with franchise activities, including renewals, check requests, and state filings
- Manage PAC contribution SharePoint site; generate contribution monthly report

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Political Science or related field or equivalent experience
Experience
- 2+ years of political/government experience
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
Skills
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, organizational capabilities, and work ethic with a desire to complement a fun and dynamic team
- Demonstrated knowledge of the political process and campaign finance laws
- Experience managing financial accounts, detail oriented and has innovative problem-solving skills
- Ability to think critically, demonstrate good judgement, handle multiple projects, tasks, and balance multiple priorities simultaneously while effectively meeting deadlines
- Skilled in Microsoft SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Notes, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- Valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record within the Company required standards and auto insurance
