We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to support our team by ensuring fair, positive, and compliant employee relations. You will handle HR policies, recruitment, retention, coaching, and problem-solving while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws. Your focus will be on attracting and retaining talent, developing leaders, and helping the business achieve its goals through strong, trusted partnerships.

This position is eligible for our Hybrid Work Policy. Eligible employees can work from home up to one day each week.


What Our Human Resources Generalist Enjoy Most About the Role

  • Building Positive Workplace Culture: Foster fairness, equity, and effective conflict resolution through employee relations support, counseling, and performance coaching.
  • Creating Meaningful HR Policies & Processes: Ensure consistent applications for company policies, maintain compliance with state and federal laws, and communicate changes clearly to employees and leaders.
  • Leading Benefits & Leave Programs: Oversee open enrollment, manage leave of absence processes, accommodations, and wellness programs to support employee well-being and satisfaction.
  • Empowering Growth & Development: Deliver engaging training sessions for employees and supervisors on benefits, policies, harassment prevention, and leadership best practices.
  • Managing HR Systems & Compliance: Keep HRIS and payroll entries accurate, conduct necessary audits, and maintain employee records to ensure seamless operations.
  • Driving Strategic HR Initiatives: Contribute to recruitment efforts, bonus plans, merit processes, budget planning, and participate in committees focused on enhancing employee experience and organizational effectiveness.

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • Proven HR experience in employee relations, compliance, recruitment and training

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
  • Experience in HRIS a plus

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication (oral/ written) with all levels of the organization
  • Effective problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization under pressure
  • Organizational skills with attention to confidentiality and accuracy
  • Consultative and coaching skills with an analytical mindset
  • Knowledge of employment laws wage/hour laws, ad employee relations practices
  • Familiarity with cable TV products and services is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s licenses with satisfactory driving record within company required standards preferred
  • Certifications for Human Resource Professionals (PHR, SPHR) preferred

A qualified applicant’s criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.

The base pay for this position generally is between $55,500.00 and $88,500.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
